Dear Brothers and Sisters:
In 2026, Easter Sunday will be observed in many parts of the world on April 5—the
same weekend as the live broadcast of general conference. As such, only sacrament
meeting and no other meetings should be held the previous week, on Palm Sunday,
March 29.
Easter, general conference, and Palm Sunday are wonderful opportunities to
commemorate the Savior’s Atonement and Resurrection. We encourage all to invite
friends, family, and neighbors to join in these worship services of our Savior, Jesus
Christ.
Messages and music for Palm Sunday should be centered on the Savior’s Atonement
and Resurrection. To help create a special Easter-focused worship experience on Palm
Sunday, fast and testimony meeting could be held another week.
Resources to help with planning and celebrating Palm Sunday, Easter, and Holy Week
will be available at ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
We extend our gratitude for your service in helping all to experience the joy of the
Savior this Easter season.
Sincerely yours,
The First Presidency

Bloomington 1st Ward
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This year our youth will again be helping line the streets of Bloomington with American flags on several patriotic holidays. It has become a wonderful tradition in our community that allows us to celebrate our country while also helping support our youth programs.
The youth will be placing flags in front of homes for the following holidays:
• Presidents Day
• Memorial Day
• Flag Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Veterans Day
You may see a flag placed in front of your home on these days as part of this Bloomington tradition. There is absolutely no obligation, and the youth are happy to place flags regardless. However, if you would like to support our youth, donations are greatly appreciated.
Many families choose to donate $40–$60 for the year, though any amount is welcome. These donations help fund youth camps, activities, and supplies for both this year and next.
You can donate by using the Venmo QR code on the attached flyer, or by giving cash or a check payable to Bloomington 1st Ward. If donating electronically, please include your name and address.
If you would like to contribute more, you are also welcome to sponsor a flag for another neighbor or family. Additional donations are always appreciated and go directly toward supporting the youth.
Thank you for helping us continue this meaningful tradition and for supporting the wonderful youth in our ward. We are grateful for this community and the way you lift and encourage our young people.
With gratitude,
Ruffin Judd

Brothers and Sisters,
There is a lot in this email, because we want to avoid numerous emails being sent. We are very mindful of the many emails that flood all of our email inboxes on a daily basis.
First off, we have been strongly encouraged by the First Presidency to make Easter special as we celebrate Jesus Christ. We pray that we can all find ways this Easter season to draw closer to the Savior.
Sunday, March 29th will be sacrament meeting only. No other meetings are to be held. There will also not be temple recommend interviews (see below for additional information about that).
Saturday, April 4th, there will be a drone show for our stake depicting scenes from Christ’s life. A flyer is attached with more information. This will be a wonderful opportunity to invite friends and neighbors.
April 4th and 5th will also be General Conference, with Easter on April 5th.
We have been asked to share this beautiful message from the First Presidency: https://youtu.be/XxY7fdYs4N8?si=dnjo6waSlIFWnYc2
“He Lives, Missionary Week” – We have had many wonderful missionaries serving in our stake. As you are likely aware, we recently received sister missionaries. These new sisters are absolutely wonderful. They were tasked with helping find ways to get more members involved with missionary work, and they have provided this video (https://youtu.be/2e16VmovZQs) and this message:
"Hello Bloomington Stake! We are so excited to announce that next Sunday, March 22nd, will begin our "He Lives, Missionary Week".
We know that this Easter season is a time where we can invite ALL to come unto Jesus Christ. You should have received a flyer at the door on your way in and a digital copy of the flyer in your email inbox. This flyer includes a daily prompt of something you can do in order to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Please complete the prompt and then text the "miracle hotline" at 435-522-9298 with any miracles or experiences that you have! We will then compile these experiences into a newsletter to send out at the end of the week. SO, if you want to be featured in the newsletter, and receive an increase of blessings, be sure to participate. We love you all!
p.s. our number is the number to text for the miracle hotline" [The flyer is attached to this email too.]
Temple Recommends:
Because Palm Sunday and General Conference Sundays will not have temple recommend interviews, we have blocked out Tuesday March 24th from 6:00-7:30pm for temple recommend interviews. As always, we never want our stake presidency schedule to prevent you from being able to come renew your temple recommend. Reach out to Greg Sanders, and we will do our best to accommodate schedule, location, etc. to meet your needs.
Stake Social Media:
We will begin doing more on social media as a stake in order to spread information more easily. Please consider following on these platforms:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bloomingtonutahstake

Other dates to be aware of:
May 16-17 Stake Conference
May 31st Church-wide 5th Sunday lesson: “A new video will be available on ChurchofJesusChrist.org in which President D. Todd Christofferson and Elder Quentin L. Cook will offer instruction about the significance of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and related events that enabled the Restoration of the Church. All wards and branches in the United States are invited to use this video during a fifth-Sunday meeting on May 31 to discuss the importance of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and how these documents support religious freedom and our God-given agency.”
July 5th: “all are invited to participate in a unified fast to express gratitude for religious liberty and to pray that it be strengthened throughout the world”
We are so grateful to associate with you. You are constantly in our prayers.
With love,
President Cole
